Kimberly Nelson Named President of Kemin Nutrisurance

A third generation member of the Nelson family, ready to lead the pet food and rendering technologies business

DESMOINES, Iowa, September 29, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The name was given by Kemin Industries, a global ingredients manufacturer that strives every day through its products and services to improve the quality of life for 80 percent of the world Kimberly Nelsona third-generation member of Kemin’s founding family, as President of Kemin Nutrisurance, the company’s pet nutrition and rendering technologies business unit.

Kemin, a family run business, was founded by Nelson’s RW and grandparents Mary Nelson, 61 years ago. Nelson has been with Kemin for seven years, most recently as General Manager – North America for Kemin nutrition. During her tenure, the global business unit reported double-digit revenue growth despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and its supply chain strains.

Prior to joining Kemin Nutrisurance, Nelson was President of Kemin Textile Auxiliaries, which operates under the Garmon Chemicals brand and provides complete chemical solutions to the denim and apparel industries. Nelson helped lead the acquisition of Garmon Chemicals in early 2018, serving as Business Development Manager, then General Manager – Indiafor Kemin textile auxiliaries.

Nelson spent five years in marketing in Hong Kong before joining Kemin in 2017. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northwest University and her master’s degree from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Nelson will begin her new role in October 2022and Alberto Muñoz, currently Marketing Director for Kemin Nutrisurance, will take over her previous position as General Manager – North America for the business unit.
