Fashion designers benefit from the SHEIN X competition.
On Irish fashion news, an online fast fashion retailer has launched a competition where the winner will receive $ 100,000 to start their own fashion label.
This is a continuation of the popular Chinese fashion retailer’s successful SHEIN X’s tutorial program that was created earlier this year and is designed to support and nurture emerging fashion designer talent.
Shein is now taking that program to the next level with the launch of her “100k Challenge,” inviting SHEIN X creators to battle for the opportunity to be featured in SHEIN’s 2021 fall-winter runway show of their own fashion label.
In order to participate, budding fashion designers must first be accepted into the SHEIN X program before submitting their designs under the motto “Be Bold, Be You!â€.
The applications for this year’s submissions were completed at the end of May 2021. However, in the next round of the competition, 30 designers will get a second-round spot, followed by the final, which will be streamed worldwide in September 2021.
The SHEIN X project offers fashion designers a platform to help them promote and sell their own designs. They will also take part in workshops that will encourage and help them develop their skills as a fashion designer.
To date, this program has brought 20 designers to market and now accepts up to 50 fashion designers every month.
Fashion designers will be accompanied and advised throughout the competition in accordance with the SHEIN X program, with the finalists being trained and coached by a jury of experts. This is intended to help every applicant through to the final round, in which SHEIN will announce the winner and present its fashion collection during Fashion Week.
The Chinese fashion house also enables designers to be creative and implement their own designs, while SHEIN takes care of the production, PR and sales of the winning collection.
