Costume designer Patricia Field shares her favorite Emily outfit in Paris


Emily in Paris is back – and fashion is once again the focus of the show.

The second season of Netflix‘s hit series starring Lily Collins was released on December 22nd and the show’s costume consultant Patricia Field revealed her favorite fashion moment.

Field who is famous for her work on Sex and the CityShe describes a scene in the south of France as her fashionable moment of choice from season two.

“She [Emily, played by Lily Collins] takes the train from Paris to the Côte d’Azur, gets off the train and she wears this silk coat – really pretty, with a slight pressure on it – and the white fingerless gloves. I was really happy with it, ”said Field Page Six style .

The fingerless gloves Field is referring to are part of their new collaboration with fashion brand Seymoure and The white “Emily” gloves are priced at $ 298 (£ 224).

“I love gloves, and gloves need to be revived from the vintage shop,” added Field. “I thought to myself, ‘I’m going to bring the glove back to the modern girl who rides a bike, drives the car.'”

Fans of the show style will soon be able to dress like the characters too, there Emily in Paris announced its first official fashion collaboration with My Beachy Side.

The new season of Emily in Paris has several film locations across France including St. Tropez and Versailles.

The My Beachy Side collaboration is filled with beach clothes, including a Fringed maxi dress for $ 389 (£ 293), a Sailor-style romper for $ 435 (£ 327) and a crochet swimsuit for $ 215 (162 €).
