A man has admitted his involvement in a clothes robbery that left “a lonely hanger” after nearly 2,000 samples were taken from fashion designer Dame Trelise Cooper’s offices.

In late October, the famous fashion designer‘s showroom in Auckland was robbed in a “kick in the gut” for Cooper’s 100 employees and involved a breast cancer charity fashion night in Tauranga.

A 42-year-old man admitted two charges of fraud and one charge of burglary in the Auckland District Court on Friday.
